Hey I have a quick question for you… Hows this year going so far in your business?
Are you stepping up to the plate and taking bold new actions towards a brighter future or are you starting to fall back into old patterns and allowing life to get in the way of your goals?
Either way, don’t worry. This post will help.
This is about the time of the year that people start giving up on the goals that they set in January and start to get comfortable again.
But thats not you right?
Let others give up on their goals but not you… Let others make excuses as to why they can’t achieve their dreams but not you…
One of my all-time favorite success quotes is this…
“Let others lead small lives but not you. Let others argue over small things but not you. Let others cry over small hurts but not you. Let others leave their futures in someone else’s hands but not you” -Jim Rohn
Anyway… Before I go to far out on a tangent I’m going to get back to the point of this post.
What i’m about to share with you is extremely simple..
In fact, its so simple that you might even reject it and go in search of a more complicated solution. Don’t do that.
Now this only takes about 5 minutes a day and it only works if you do it consistently every day.
And it can obliterate words like confused, overwhelmed and other “struggle words” that lots of home business owners love to default to.
Adopting and mastering this simple 5 minute daily routine is a very important step towards transforming you into a productive entrepreneur who gets paid like a professional.
Is that something that you’re interested in doing?
Okay here it goes…
Every day, before you start to work on your business, make a list of the top 4 or 5 most important things you will do that day.. This list should contain ONLY the highest leveraged income activities. Things that are going to fill your pipeline with fresh new leads and prospects. Activities that position you as an authority like content creation. Things like communicating with your email list or social media audience to build trust with them and cultivate the growing asset.
Its is very important that you keep the list to the top 4 or 5 highest leveraged activities only. Many people create “to-do lists” and then they fill it up with everything they have to get done that day. They include things like, “clean the kitchen” or “watch last nights webinar replay.” By adding low level activities like these you often do these things first and only do the actual “income producing activities” if there is time afterwards, which their usually isn’t.
So keep it to the top 4 or 5 highest leveraged activities only! You can always do the low level stuff like messing around on Facebook for 2 hours AFTER you get the leveraged activities done.
So thats really all there is to it. This simple activity takes 5 minutes to do every day. Make it the first thing you do when you sit down at your desk or your computer to work on your home business. By doing so you will start to build your entrepreneurial muscles and become the disciplined business owner that you must become if you want to create real, long term results.
Okay i’m going to give you one more tip before wrapping this up…
Because doing this just once, or even once a week won’t really do you any good. This needs to become part of your daily routine.
So start small. Set a goal of doing this for the next 5 days in a row and thats it. After that stretch it to 10 days, and then 15. Once you can do it for 30 straight days, it will have become a habit and you won’t even have to think about it. And that is where everything will begin to fall into place in your business.
