“In times of change learners inherit the earth; while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists” – Eric Hoffer
My main objective for this article is to open your eyes to a major shift thats taking place in the world right now…
This “shift” will leave many business owners out in the cold scratching their heads and wondering what happened. These kinds of major global unfolding trends always do that. But for some. For those of us who are early enough, this shift will be the game changer. For you and me, right now, this is the income and wealth building opportunity of our lifetime….
Let me explain…
I’ve been reading this book called “The Third Screen” by Chuck Martin. In it, Chuck explains how we as a society have transitioned from a TV era, to a “PC era” and we are now moving into a “Mobile era.” The opportunities presented by the previous 2 era’s pale in comparison, especially for the average marketer or opportunist, to the Mobile shift that is currently underway.
Here are 3 reasons why the new “MobileNet” is the wealth building opportunity of our lifetime
Reason #1 – Speed
If you want to attract more money into your life, you have to start moving at the speed of money.
Today, more than ever, money moves very very quickly. And just like with the InterNet, those who waited around and played “wait and see” missed out big time. Many, most actually, are now fighting for the bread crumbs left by the early adopters who already made the lions share of the money from that trend. Trust me, I was there.
I love history, especially American history. I’ve been watching a series on History.com called “America The Story of US.” In the series they make the point that every major economic growth spurt in America happened as a result of being able to move people, resources and ideas from one location to another FAST. This was the case with projects like the Erie Canal and the Railroads in the 1800’s; The discovery of oil in Texas in the early 20th century; The Highways built in the 1950’s; And much more recently, the InterNet. The big difference with the InterNet is that it connects us on a global scale rather than just connecting one part of the country to another.
The big thing that sets the MobileNet apart, is the speed at which the trend has caught on. Today, more people are connected to the interNet than ever before largely in part due to the accessibility of mobile. There are 5 billion people in the world who own cell phones, compared to just one billion personal computers.
Reason #2 – Timing
In business, timing trumps talent every time. If your timing is good, you can have a tenth of the skills and get 10 times the result. You may want to read that again.
In 2008 I started my first online marketing venture. I saw people cashing-in big time from the internet marketing trend. And even though my skills were weak at the time I was able to make a full-time income in that industry in my first year. This was largely in part due to my timing with that trend.
In those days there were only a couple of online marketing business opportunities. These days there are hundreds, possibly even thousands, fighting for the same marketshare. Do you see how that fact alone makes it WAY more difficult to get the same results today? NOTE: Even in 2008, I was a late-comer to the internet marketing trend. That trent was really heating up around 2006 and reached its peak around 2009.
I’ve found myself in the right place at the right time on a few different occasions in the past 6 years of my entrepreneurial career. When I took action on the previous times, I experienced major financial growth as a well as a major lifestyle upgrade. The other times were nothing compared to the opportunity we are seeing now with the mobile trend.
Here’s an example….
Mobile websites today, are where regular websites were in the early 2000’s. Back then business owners were asking, “Whats a website?… am i going to need one of those?” A question we would consider laughable today.
Today, more and people are accessing websites from their mobile phones and a staggering 98% of websites are NOT mobile optimized. Are you starting to see the magnitude of this opportunity?
Reason #3 – Technology
All of the major wealth creation opportunities of the previous couple centuries came as part of technological advancements. Andrew Carnegie was at one point the richest man in the world because he was an early adopter in steel manufacturing. John D. Rockafeller later became the richest man in the US because he was an early adopter in oil. These men and many others created their fortunes during the early rise of the industrial revolution.
We have since transitioned out of the industrial age and moved into the information age. In this new era, the wealth and opportunity will be capitalized on by those who spread ideas and information to more people, faster. The big difference between the industrial age and in the information from an opportunity standpoint is 2 fold.
1- The average person now has the opportunity to capitalize on these major advancements like never before.
2 – The information age is still young. Its still new. Its just starting to heat up. And if you have a little vision and a lot of courage, its yours for the taking.
